Are universities doing in person tours?
With vaccinations in full force and cases on the decline, many have resumed in-person campus tours. Unsurprisingly, most of the institutions open for visits have safe practices in place, so make sure you’ve satisfied the requirements prior to visiting.
Are college campuses open to walk around?
You are free to walk around public colleges and universities. Public colleges will even have events that are open to the public. However, private universities have the right to ask you to leave.

Can you walk into Harvard campus?
Yes. You can certainly walk around both campuses. Parts of some buildings are open to the public, such as the main building at MIT or the Science Center at Harvard, but most are restricted. Both schools have facilities such as museums, chapels, &c that the public can visit.
Can you visit a college without a tour?
Many colleges don’t require you to register for a tour or reserve a seat at an infosession, but you’ll still need to confirm when and how often these infosessions and tours occur.

Can you tour Notre Dame Stadium?
Tours of Notre Dame Stadium are scheduled separately. Guided public tours are available at various times throughout the year. Groups of 10 or more must arrange for a private tour. Tours are limited to the first 25 people who register within 30 minutes of the tour in person at the Eck Visitors Center.
